Treatment Areas

Adolescents

Whether you are a parent of a teenager, or young person seeking mental health care, you are feeling the push-pull of the needs for both independence and protection. I listen deeply to teens' concerns, and I support them in exploring and claiming their emerging identities. I teach coping skills to safely navigate painful moments, and I help teens learn and practice healthy relationship behaviors.

Depression & Anxiety

The draining thoughts and emotions of depression and anxiety can compromise not only our ability to fulfill our responsibilities, but also our relationships and self-worth. Therapy can help you gain control over your emotional landscape, rekindle your motivation, and rediscover your capacity for feelings of peace and fulfillment.

Life Transitions

Adulthood is full of transitions, both internally and in our relationships. Our needs and goals evolve, and our circumstances change.  Choices we have made, or patterns we have established earlier in our lives, may no longer serve us. Therapy is a space to reflect on past and future decisions, work through grief and loss, and consider next steps to you build a life that affirms your current self.

Trauma

Humans are wired to survive, and you have. Your strength and instincts have carried you through dangerous moments. Survival responses are not always helpful, however. To thrive, we need to be able to settle our nervous systems and experience the vulnerability that leads to connection with others. Therapy can help you learn to soothe your threat responses and open yourself to safe, fulfilling relationships.

 Gender Affirming Therapy

Making sense of our gender is lifelong work. The dominant culture's binary gender roles and gender expression can make it even more difficult to listen to your core self-knowledge.

I am here to witness, affirm, and celebrate your gender identity. Therapy is a private space to explore how you would like to embody and express your gender identity in your daily life.

Borderline Personality Disorder

If you or a loved one have received this label, therapy can help you build self-compassion and create a life worth living. By practicing skills to manage both numbness and intense emotions, you can safetly weather relationship challenges and destructive urges.

Therapy can help you overcome invalidation and suffering, claim your resilience, and build fulfilling relationships.
